This is a Game Boy that I did a video on about a month ago. After cleaning the unit and getting it working I noticed the original shell had a bunch of damage to it, like scratches/scuffs and cracks in the corners among other wear and tear. This is pretty common especially for Game Boy handhelds being the age of them and the vast majority were owned and played by children; who can be hard on electronics and toys. That being said I originally intended on cleaning the shell using the hydrogen peroxide and UV light method. Which did brighten up the shell but unfortunately it also made all the damage the shell had more visible and even made some damage I originally didn't notice show up to where I could easily see it. I decided to replace the shell/housing of the Game boy. You can purchase these replacement shells/housing from Amazon, eBay, Aliexpress among other online stores. They usually cost about $15-$20.00. The kit I am using in the video below cost me $16.00 + Tax.

If you are not familiar with a Game Boy I recommend checking out the Wikipedia Page on it.

Below is the video showing the entire process. Enjoy
