This is a Game Boy Color Atomic Purple fully restored. Unfortunately I didn't think about taking pictures of the Game Boy Color before I restored it. :-[

That being said, the original condition of it was rough. The screen was full of deep scratches. The front, back and inside was filled with dirt, dust, food and probably had some soda spilled on it because there was a sticky, brown substance covering the buttons, part of the motherboard and the speaker inside. Luckily it didn't do any serious damage. Albeit these handhelds could take a serious beating before they stopped working. Battery terminals were highly corroded due to batteries dated 1999 being left in the handheld and leaking, which is common with handhelds in this era as they required batteries.

Anyone who knows about these or have used them will remember that most of these were purchased for children as that was the target market.

This handheld originally launched in October & November of 1998, depending on location and it sold for $79.95 in North America.

The screen lens looks like there are scratches on it, but this is just a protective film that is protecting the lens as these originally were plastic and the replacement lens was also plastic. They do make and sell glass lens today, but I wanted to keep this as original as I could.
